Here we go!

You know that feeling you get when something exciting happens and you have to tell everyone about it right away? You text them so fast that you misspell words. You try to call them. You may even get super irritated when they don't answer the phone... so naturally you call them 10 more times until they finally pick up.

I get that feeling about twenty times a day. I get that feeling every single time I walk out of Sephora with a black and white shopping bag swinging on my wrist.  And when I get over 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. Oh, and when I try a new recipe that my husband loves.

You may be noticing a pattern here. I get excited about a lot of things, and I love sharing all of my little excitements with others. I've always just shared with my family and friends, until now!

I realized I wanted to start a blog a few months ago. At the time, we just got a puppy, remodeled/moved into a new home, and I found out I was pregnant! I like to write, and I thought a blog might be the perfect place to document my life.  Especially with a new baby on the way, I thought this would be a great way to connect with others and share the small joys and adventures of everyday life.

I have always been a big fan of blogs, and I have been following and reading them for years.  But, when the little voice popped in my head that said "You should start a blog!" I politely responded with um no. Not me. No thanks. Why would I ignore that small voice of inspiration you ask? Well, I have one main reason...
I hate criticism! Starting a blog means opening myself up to the criticism of the Internet.

I'm not a beauty expert, dog trainer, fitness instructor, photographer, or world traveler.  But, I'm going to give this blog a shot anyway!  I will be writing about the simple things in life: my early 4:30AM workout, what it's like to be a first time mom, my most recent Target shopping trip, and probably what I think about my new mascara. And, let's be honest, I will most likely share about 10,000 pictures of my dog because she's needy. And adorable.
